Electrolux ICON Designer E36GC75GSS Cooktop Review

If you’re looking for a professional-style gas cooktop, the Electrolux ICON E36GC75GSS cooktop is one that should be on the top of your list. The solidly built Electrolux E36GC75GSS is a 6-burner, 36″ wide gas cooktop. A few things I really like about this model are: the continuous grates, the stylish ceramic glass surface, the front knobs are large and easy to read (black knobs are also available), and it actually comes with some very usable accessories (a griddle, wok ring, and a simmer plate). I have to reiterate how great the accessories are – especially the griddle, which eliminates the need for a separate plug-in griddle. There are also 2 min burners and 2 max burners, which allows you to keep a variety of foods / liquids cooking at the same time. The burners range from 450 to 18,000 BTU’s. Another great feature of the Electrolux E36GC75GSS gas cooktop is the spill-proof design of the surface. It is so easy to clean, you’d be amazed. They do a good job at eliminating the little nooks for food to get into.

So, what are the negatives of the Electrolux Icon E36GC75GSS? To be honest, the only one I can think of is the price – which is around $2,000. Of course, not everyone will need this fancy of a unit. However, if you have the space for a 36″ gas cooktop, I would absolutely recommend this model to anyone. I am giving the E36GC75GSS a 4.5/5 star rating (I only knock .5 off because of the price).
