The Bosch NGM5664UC is a 36 inch gas powered model with five burners. The all-black exterior is classy and will fit into just about any kitchen. In this review of the Bosch NGM5664UC cooktop, I’ll be going over this model’s best and worst features. Here’s a rundown of features you’ll find on this unit: centralized front controls, low profile continuous grates, sealed burners to reduce foods and liquids from falling under the unit, a burner that can go as high as 16,000 BTU’s and one that can go as low as 400 BTU’s. The main surface area is also deep recessed to allow for easier clean up. This cooktop currently costs right around $850, which is a pretty reasonable price for what you get – especially for a 36 inch model.
Now, onto the negative aspects of Bosch NGM5664UC. While I really like how the exterior looks, it seems like the enamel finish could get scratched up pretty easily – especially if you use any sort of wire brush. Also, it’s hard to keep it looking clean. I’m not talking about spills, I’m talking about small spots that really stand out because of the black surface. I also wish there was a stand to lift up the Bosch NGM5664UC cooktop. Overall, I really like the features and price of this model, so I’m not going to complain too much. I’m giving it a 4 / 5 star rating.
